London Saint James in in the Building: Welcome to Paradise, A Paradise Ranch Novella

Thanks so much for having me and my new release, Welcome to Paradise on your blog today!

This novella is the introduction to my new contemporary erotic western romance, Paradise Ranch, and since the ranch is located in West Texas, I figured what better way to celebrate than to share a good old homemade Texas Barbecue Sauce with ya’ all.

Trust me, it is finger licking good.  Here’s what you need to make some homemade Texas BBQ Juice:

Ingredients
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons American chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon of butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup Lone Star beer (or any other lager)
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons steak sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Hot sauce to taste (start with 2 teaspoons of Tabasco sauce for mild heat)
2 cups beef, veal, or chicken stock

1) Mix the paprika, black pepper, American chili powder, and cumin in a small bowl.
2) In a one quart saucepan, melt the butter or bacon fat and gently cook the onion over medium heat until translucent.
3) Add the garlic, bell pepper, and the spice mix you made in step (1). Stir, and cook for two minutes to extract the flavors.
4) Add the stock and the rest of the ingredients. Stir until well blended. Simmer on medium for 15 minutes. Leftovers will keep in the fridge for a month or so.

Blurb:
Just three days before her thirtieth birthday, Acquisition Editor for Starling Press, Sutton Callaway, has buried the last of her family in the cemetery on the plot of land she inherited.

After turning down the powerful and wealthy owner of Triple Bar-S Ranch to sell her inheritance and walk away from the obligations of running one of the biggest cattle ranches in West Texas, Sutton puts her Dallas condo on the market, resigns her position from SP, packs the contents of her life into boxes, and heads for the one place filled with bittersweet memories—Paradise Ranch.

Will Sutton be able to handle the pressures of being the newly appointed cattle baroness, the rough and tumble men under her employ, and the temptation of a sexy mystery man? Or will her grandmother’s matriarchal boots be too big for her to fill?

Bio:
London wrote her first short story in the second grade. Her teacher informed her parents she had a big imagination, and as far as he was concerned, having a big imagination wasn’t necessarily a good thing, so she placed her vivid characters, her childhood stories, along with her imagination on the shelf, where they would wither for a while. After all, she needed to grow up and do the “sensible thing.”

Life moved on, London grew up, and the sensible thing earned London a degree in Psychology. She took a serious job in the real world, doing serious things and being a responsible adult, although the need to be a little irresponsible crept in. As a result, she started scribbling again.

Happy to find her imagination was still alive and kicking, she decided to pursue writing, walked away from doing the sensible thing, took on the world of the written word, and has never looked back!

Pre-Order IF I WAS YOUR MAN

Well good Saturday morning to all!

I recieved some good news over the last couple of days. My story If I was Your Man is now up for pre-order at Breathless Press and release date is August 9th!

Here is a blurb:
When Christophe's best friend tells him he needs to get out more, he reluctantly agrees. He never imagined that one bold step would change everything.
Christophe LaFavre is a Real Estate mogul. When it comes to business no one does it better. But when it comes to love, he just can't seem to get it right. When his best friend talks him into going to a club to meet someone, he does it. What he didn't expect was to find someone who made his body burn from the very first time their eyes meet through their masquerade masks. To make matters worse—this stranger is hell bent on teaching Christophe a few lessons, lessons

Excerpt:
"How you doin?" Christophe waved. He doubted the man could hear him over the music. The man nodded at him and a smirk traced his lips. Christophe took a moment to take him in—no shiny tight shirt, no hair gel that he could see and no grinding.

Things are looking up.

He climbed from the stool and stood before Christophe, close enough so his chest brushed Christophe's gently with each breath. He lifted his lips to Christophe's ear and spoke, causing his lips to trace Christophe's skin. "Can I buy you a drink?"

He meant to nod but each move of his head caused the man's scent to fill his nose making his knees shake. Macho—a cologne he'd recognize anywhere. No man ever made him feel so weak and feeble. Perhaps it was the brazen way this stranger simply invaded his space or the masks—it had to be the masks. A naughty flair filled each person when they thought they could not be picked out in a line-up. Either way, he really liked this new brand of fire surging through his veins.

"Thanks," Christophe managed proudly. He tried stepping away but the bar hit his back. He was trapped between the hardness of this person and the hardness of the surface behind him. Trapped, beautiful, so sensually, Christophe could orgasm with just that one thought. They locked eyes through their masks.

"What's your name?" Christophe asked.

"That would defeat the purpose of a masquerade party," he replied. "Is tonight the night you step across that line?"

There was a slight familiarity Christophe felt with the person before him at hearing his voice so close. It was as though he'd heard that voice before, that carefree English with a hint of an accent. He shrugged. If he'd met this man before he'd know—wouldn't he? "It depends."

"On?" His predator wanted to know.

"Who's on the other side of it?"

The man laughed softly and nodded. "Touch." He turned and said something to the bartender then returned his attention to Christophe. "I'll tell you what. You tell me by the end of the night if you'd cross that line for me."

A recalculation

Its strange.

The whole reason I began writing MM romance was to write MM romance. Lately, it seems my work has taken on a more erotic--kind of BDSM turn and I'm not entirely sure I like where it is going. I mean think about it, romance and erotica are two different things. Romance is sweet and steamy erotica most times is just that...erotica. I like a good swing from the ceiling-screaming yee-haw-hair pulling-scream fest just like the next guy but when I started out, it was to write love-love not just love.

I was on twitter today and since I'm following Lance Bass (Former NSync member). I noticed his profile picture had changed so I clicked on it.

Lance Bass and love
I mean look at that?? How beautiful is that?? I know the multiple question marks is not editor friendly but gimme a break! It just calls for it. This picture gave me so many ideas, so many great ideas that I feel as if I'm about to explode!

And the weird part is--none of them are remotely erotic. They are all sweet, tears in your eyes, amazing ideas that I want so desperately to write and bring justice to. But once again, like before I wrote REDEMPTION I feel as if I'll completely fail and then what?? I have some stories still on my computer to finish and find homes for - quite moe than some...more than a few...possible more than ten, but these new ideas are screaming so loudly my brain is threatening to jump out of my head if I don't DO something!  What do I do? The beginning of this year was horrid for me writing wise becaue none of my oodles of characters would speak to me. Now they won't shut up because of this picture. Well, I guess my recalculation is to head back into romance--maybe not sweet romance but something still to burn your eye brows yet with a lot more heart.

What do you think?

Hugs,
Remmy D

"This story is about two grown ass gay men that each have a little doubt for one reason or another if their relationship will work. The story is conveyed well and kept completely on the adult playing field, I loved it! When these two get going in the bedroom it is passionate and sensual."--TSM
