What a year so far!

Hello everyone!

How are you all? It's a new year!

At the end of 2015 I posted about all the goodies coming your way this year. I didn't have covers for them but I do now! And I can show these bad boys off! At least three of them anyways. Let's see now. So far this year, I have two tales coming from PRIDE - SHIVERS: Koi (the final book in the SHIVERS series) and intoXication 1: So Into You (book one in my new series). 

I am going into cultures this years as you can see. So Into You is what we've began calling Blasian - Black/Asian - In this case it will be Chinese/Black.  Here's the blurb:

Though he has his eyes on Kofi's friend, Christophe Sidler, he knows he must keep his hands off. His father's enemies are out there and they seem hell bent on starting a war between the Shivers and anyone else they can think of.

Christophe Sidler has loved Koi Pyktis since the moment he laid eyes on the studly Greek.  But he is fresh off mourning his mother, getting his feet wet in the business world and trying desperately to not put his foot in his mouth around Koi.  

But what will Christophe feel and say when he finds out what Koi really is, and where will Christophe stand in the war that's ahead? 

 Then from Dreamspinner Press, there is the rerelease for Country Soul. This story is dear to me and I am so happy and proud that Dreammspinner saw something in it to give it a second breath.  With a brand-spanking new cover, major rewrites and kick ass editing, it is ready again to face the world and will do so Feb 17th, 2016! 

When Jackson Rawlings comes out of the closet, he loses everything from his record label to the self confidence he needs to perform on stage. Jackson feels as if the world is out to get him. Broken and afraid, he escapes to Hallesfored and the ranch he calls home.  All he wants is to live out the rest of his life peacefully and out of the spotlight.

But the fates just love interfering in his life.

Marques Lopez is the owner of Phoenix Records, and not only does he hate what happened to Jackson, he feels Jackson Rawlings has plenty more to contribute to the music industry.  He ventures into small-town USA to find the singer and when he does, Jackson is a mere fragment of the man he used to be. To make matters worse, Marques’ body and heart step in to present him with a choice between business and pleasure—unless he could have his cake and eat it too…

Country Soul in Print!

So I woke up this morning, dreading going to work. Why? Aside from the fact that I detest the EDJ, it was raining like MAD outside. Am talking forget about Cats and Dogs, am talking crazy rain! And the worse part was? It was windy! I almost got blown away. Some guy walking by had to grab me!

So, I managed to crawl out of bed, shower, haul pants on (to my horror, I mean pants are for chumps!) and manage to gather breakfast, lunch and waddled out the door.  At work, I slipped into my anti social mode and checked ma emails.

That is when I saw a letter from my lovely cover artist, Reese Dante, who told me the good news! Country Soul is going into print 04/30/11! That's in a few days! This is amazing news for me! I was flailing and giggling and just being a nerd but I couldn't help it.  So now am a giggling mess!!!

Ok, This giggling mess has to go back to work!

The Sex Museum *giggles*

Sexapolooza 2011 for Toronto is over! But I was there! It was amazing, amazing, amazing!  I was so excited to go to this because lets face it, people around, everyday tend to be so boring and so taboo about sex that being tossed into a large wharehouse shaped building with nothing but sex and the like for a few hours (snickers) was tons of fun...it had to be right?
Ok, so I went with some friends (going alone would just be a tad strange...) and walking in the door, you're engulfed in a world of sex--everything to do with sex. For crying out loud there was a dungeon with a lady all tied up walking around with her boobs hanging out! That was fun.  We weren't allowed to take any pictures in there for obvious reasons--one lady told me she was a teacher so I guess that would explain it all.  There was a lady tied to this thing with a lady dressed in leather spanking her with this strange looking whip...Anyways moving on to the museum.

But aside fromthe toys and the people, I was stunned by a few things.  First and foremost there was a sex museum. When we went inside there was some history: of porn, really-yes my friends porn, has a history! There was history of Playboy and Penthouse as well as some really funny laws. In one state, it was illegal for a man and his wife to fall asleep naked in a rented room. I joked that if a man was going to fall asleep naked in a rented room she'd better be his mistress! Ah, I slay me sometimes.

Another law said a woman cannot walk on a beach in a swimsuit without being escorted by an officer or armed with a club! But the one that got me was this one-- In Minnesota "it is illegal for a husband to make love to his wife if his breath smells like garlic, onions or sardines. She can by law, force her husband to brush his teeth." I kid you not! I even have the picture to prove it!  It was so funny I just had to take a picture of it.

Anyways,

we had tons of fun and will totally go back next year!

Ok, so I checked my email and look what was in it!!! The new face for COUNTRY SOUL, coming March 5, 2011!! I spent most of my day yesterday silently flailing and muffling squeals of joy and the moment I got the OK I posted it on my facebook and website *grins*

Reese Dante, the genius--created this cover and it's precisely what I wanted it to look like. It's like she was reading my mind!

A few people have been asking me why this isn't interracial. Well, it is interracial, Jackson (the country singer) is Caucasian and Marques, (the producer) is Hispanic. So just because their skin colours look the same, doesn't mean they are. So with that out of the way, here's the blurb (as it stands before Silver Publishing edits or changes it)

Ok, moving on. I am 12K into SAVARO'S HONEY BUNS for my SONS OF EROS series. It's coming great but the thing is I have this pesky little thing call a Day Job and I can't finish writing my love scene at work. I have nosey people here lol. So, instead, I'm going to write it later on tonight--if I can keep my eyes open since I don't get another day off until next week Tuesday ugh...anyways that's where that is.

A few Changes this way comes....

Hello everyone!

Hope your holidays were marvelous! This blog may be a little on the long side but it's worth it. I am sure most of you have read a few of my newer titles and has noticed there has been some change or another about my writing. Perhaps you've read the blurb for COUNTRY SOUL or my new series SONS OF EROS and wondered about the new, sensual almost romantic twist my writing has taken on.  Now, the change has nothing to do with you guys, my readers, because you are too cool, it's more of a feel really.

The truth is, every year I've gained more and more friends from the GLBTTQ community (the extra T is for two-spirit). Anyways, they seem to lean towards the more, sensual kind of read rather than the harsh, in your face all the time kind of read. The truth is the older I get the more romance I seem to crave in my life and this is to gear towards what I feel sometimes.  COUNTRY SOUL is my first REAL attempt at writing something that is heartfelt.  I took great pains in writing it a certain way. While I'll never leave my erotic writings behind, I try to blend them from time to time but over the next little while, you may see something completely sweet or completely erotic. Don't freak out, I haven't gone that crazy....YET...just testing the waters and see what my feelings spit out.

December has been kind of torture for me, and I still have a few days left.  I stopped writing (though not completely) but stopped writing enough to be tortured. I was taking a break off writing.  But in the back of my mind I still have to finish three stories for UNCUT the anthology, MY BROKEN VALENTINE, and begin SONS OF EROS.   In the coming year, I will learn to pace myself and not push too too hard. I mean, I pushed my body like crazy at the end of this year and wound up sick. Don't want to go through that again.

In the new year I have a few releases to tell you about.  COUNTRY SOUL first and foremost will be coming to Silver Publishing.  Right now the tentative release date is March 5, 2011. CAGED is another one, due to be released in March or April (I think) to MuseItHot Publishing.  UNCUT I am hoping to have ready by late Feb or early March. No promises since I am working on it solo.  MY BROKEN VALENTINE is due out by Feb 13th in time for Valentine's day *crosses fingers*

Also, in the new year, AFTER I finish the scheduled WIP, I am hoping to delve into other cultures.  Last year it was Asian, this year (2011) I am hoping to slip a little deeper into Native Indian and some Polynesian cultures. Not sure yet but we shall see.

2011 I shall be guest blogging around the place. Please stay tuned for where I shall be next and stop by and support me and the author hosting me. It would be appreciated.

Anyways, I was talked into working the day before my vacation starts *boooooo* but its money!

CAGED - Has a new home

Hello all!

Blogging was never my strong suit so that's why I haven't been around lately. That and the fact that I've been really sick from being sick and getting the wrong pills and being even more sick ugh! Anyways, I am barely back but I decided to write on there and give some good news!

After almost a year of re-writes, re-edits, submissions, retractions, argueing, more retractions etc...CAGED finally has a home. I had to go in and completely overhaul the story, changing the story somewhat to make it be able to submit somewhere else because the first publisher that wanted it was a trainwreck.  Anyways, CAGED has a home and you'll be able to get your hot little hands on it in about July of 2011. I know, that's far away but I didn't submit it until lately because of some personal reasons.  MuseItHot Publishing has decided to take a chance on me and I am ever so greatful to them for that.

What am I currently working on? Well, I am currently working on a story called COUNTRY SOUL. I am hoping to have it be highly sensual. It is aboout a country singer who just got botted out of his record lable because of 'creative differences' and is now kind of lost as to what to do and where to go from there. I am hoping to put some heart and soul into it and make it come out wonderful! Right now I am on chapter four but that's still progress.

I am also working on a a short called FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT. It will be hot, sexy, rough and oh so delicious. About a rich kid who got disowned from his parents and becomes a stripper and the football star who he's always had a crush on now turned into a wealthy, respected multi-millioonaire businessman. It's gonna be awesome...I hope!

Also, for a free read like no other? You have to check out HAVEN FALLS. It has some of your favorite authors like your's truly, Jaxx Steele, Jon Treadway, A.B Gayle and others! So you totally have to go by and read what kind of trouble we've gotten into. There has been murders, sex, gossip, fights, the grand opening of a club and all that makes a soap opera oh so damn tempting and addictive. Oh! and I've decided to self publish my short story titled SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY! Look for it soon to be released with Red Eclipse Writers!  I have a cover from the lovely people at Arigato Designs but I am not on my personal computer at the moment so I can't really save it and put it up here--I know BOO! but if you're on my facebook I'm pretty sure you've seen it already! lol

Anyways, must sadly go and face my day of rain storms and blah lol.
